Job Summary
The Building Porter will maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the plant, performing duties such as cleaning production areas, emptying waste containers, operating waste compactor units, and replenishing supplies in restrooms and cafeterias. The role requires forklift operation and covering for missing personnel in production. Candidates should be able to read instructions and communicate with supervisors. A high school education is preferred, along with passing forklift certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass forklift training certification written and practical tests.
- Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, recognize similarities and patterns, comprehend short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to communicate with line leader, and supervisor.
