Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and maintain facility systems including boilers, HVAC, life-safety, and automation equipment per regulatory bodies and manufacturer recommendations. Use building management systems to adjust environmental controls based on occupancy needs and complete minor repairs such as replacing filters, lubricating machinery, and plumbing fixes. Receive and resolve calls regarding physical and environmental premises issues while utilizing the CMMS to track all work orders. Provide on-call evening, overnight, and weekend support for after-hour emergencies and work rotational shifts Monday through Sunday. Maintain code compliance during regular building rounds and actively participate in safety meetings to uphold the organization's safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- 4th Class Power Engineering certificate or higher
- 2+ years related building maintenance experience in a commercial facility environment
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, machinery, and tools
- Experience in reactive and preventative maintenance management
- Basic knowledge of electrical and life safety systems and principles
- Competency with computers and programs, specifically building management software
- Valid 5th class Alberta Driver's License
- Must lift or carry up to 10 lbs. continuously, 20 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to climb ladders frequently and work at height
- Must be able to walk long distances on slippery, uneven surfaces
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
