Job Summary
Monitor and adjust building equipment to ensure maximum efficiency, including HVAC systems, life safety systems, building automation, and lighting. Execute preventative maintenance on all buildings and HVAC equipment, perform water treatment programs with regular testing and chemical additions, and handle small plumbing repairs and drain clearing. Respond timely to tenant requests logged through the portal, liaise with service providers, and review contracted work to ensure safety and compliance with building standards. Develop energy priorities for building systems to align with sustainability objectives and manage daily energy consumption. Work an 8-hour shift with as-needed weekend coverage, lifting 25lb and climbing ladders. Required Qualifications
- At least one year of technical and mechanical building operations experience
- General knowledge and experience operating HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, BAS, FAS and Life Safety Systems in a Class A office/retail complex
- 4th Class Power Engineering Certification
- 8-hour work shift and as-needed basis during weekends
- Able to lift 25lb
- Able to climb and safely use ladders
- Good communication skills
- Must be a team player
- Recent graduates of the 4th class program who recently acquired the 4th class ticket
Desired Qualifications
- Skills in blueprint reading, as applied to technical areas
- A trade certification is an asset
- Exceptional skills in communication, organization, customer service, interpersonal and time management
- The ability to work with minimal supervision
