Building Operator - Office Complex

Job Summary
Conduct daily inspections of building systems and common areas while operating, monitoring, and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, and mechanical systems. Respond promptly to tenant service requests and building emergencies, completing preventative maintenance programs and routine repairs. Coordinate contractor work, monitor Building Automation Systems, and maintain accurate logs and work orders. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building codes, and assist with seasonal maintenance, capital projects, and equipment replacements. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Requires minimum five years of commercial office building experience, valid driver's license, and BAS knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating commercial office buildings
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems
- Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Building Environmental Systems (BES) certification or equivalent
- 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer certification
