Job Summary
Assist building supervisors and mechanics with installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems. Oversee preventative and unscheduled repairs for elevating devices, roofing, and electrical components while managing computerized control systems. Handle general maintenance tasks including housekeeping, waste management, and hazardous material issues. Respond to tenant service requests and support environmental assessments, insurance inspections, and occupational health and safety programs. Maintain accurate operational records and stay current with industry practices and legislative changes. Requires a 4th Class Power Engineer or equivalent with at least three years of commercial high-rise building operations experience.
Required Qualifications
- 4th Class Power Engineer (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years direct work experience in junior or intermediate position in commercial high rise building operations
- Valid driver's license
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization
- Ability to effectively manage tight deadlines, work under pressure, and handle multiple priorities
- Ability to solve problems and achieve goals using logical and strategic approaches

- Ability to work in emergency or conflict situations that may involve uncomfortable working conditions
- Ability to maintain operations records, files and documentation in an orderly, accurate and timely fashion
