Job Summary
Conduct building inspections, testing, and documentation while maintaining accurate records of conditions, drawings, and systems. Coordinate with contractors and vendors on repairs, construction projects, pricing, and maintenance service agreements. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, roofing, elevators, and life safety systems. Monitor and maintain building automation systems, climate controls, and computerized building systems. Respond to tenant service requests and emergencies, including participation in an on-call rotation. Perform general building maintenance, including housekeeping, litter removal, and site duties. Support environmental, health, and safety activities, including audits and investigations. Assist with waste, recycling, hazardous materials, and indoor air quality assessments. Stay current with industry best practices and legislation while working collaboratively with the operations team. Support sustainability goals by improving energy efficiency and managing environmental hazards. Requires a valid driver's license, three years of commercial building operations experience, and BAS/I&II proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Experience using BAS and I&II
- Minimum of 3 years direct work experience in junior or intermediate position in commercial building operations
- Valid driver's license
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office
- Police Clearance
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written, with all levels within the company
- Mature and self-motivated team player who is committed to personal growth and ethical integrity
- Ability to manage time, deadlines, competing priorities, and multiple demands while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Adaptable and able to work effectively under moderate to high stress, including emergencies and after-hours situations
- Comfortable working in inclement or challenging conditions and performing moderate physical activity when required
- Ensure operations records, files and documentation are maintained in an orderly, accurate and timely fashion
- Sound administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning
- Ability to achieve goals using logical and strategic approaches to resolving challenges
- Must be available for on-call rotation
- Must be able to work in Toronto, ON (in-person position)
