Job Summary
Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment while identifying, troubleshooting, and coordinating corrective repairs. Respond to emergency service calls and supervise contractors, monitoring safe operation of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems. Report deficiencies affecting safety or performance, maintain clean mechanical rooms, manage spare parts inventory, and utilize CMMS systems to track work orders. Participate in after-hours activities including fire system testing and septic servicing, cross-train on building systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Work a full shift from 8:00hrs to 16:30hrs Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, with pay ranging from $40 to $50 per hour. Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in building operations, facility maintenance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as Maximo
- Basic handyman, troubleshooting, and repair skills
- Strong computer skills with the ability to maintain records and documentation
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Must possess personal hand tools and cordless tools
- Ability to participate in after-hours and emergency response activities as required
- Must be able to work a full shift 8:00hrs to 16:30hrs Monday to Friday excluding Nav Canada Statutory Holidays
