Job Summary
The Building Mechanic performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. Responsibilities include performing minor and major repairs under supervision, conducting preventive maintenance inspections, completing maintenance records, and participating in mechanical maintenance planning. Skills necessary include handling plumbing repairs, operating computers for equipment monitoring, and responding to emergency maintenance requests. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, 1-2 years of HVAC experience, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 – 2 years of related experience with HVAC equipment
- Valid driver’s license
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification license
- Certification from a technical school
- Associates degree in a related field
- Computer proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Excel
