Job Summary
Building Mechanic: HVAC responsible for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems including controls, calibration of pneumatic and digital controls, programming digitally controlled systems, and maintaining DDC PCs; ensure code compliance, prepare requisitions, assist in contract specs, maintain inventory, work with contractors, and respond to emergencies. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and trade school course with 2 years duration; 3-5 years experience as a certified heating and refrigeration mechanic; Washington driver's license; background check; ability to lift 50 lbs; shift 7:00am-3:30pm; Lakewood, WA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a trade school course with a minimum of two years duration related to one or more of the assigned areas of responsibility
- Three to five years recent successful experience in private enterprise or government agency as a certified heating and refrigeration mechanic
- Washington State Driver’s License with a safe driving record demonstrated by a current 5 year drivers extract
- Fingerprinting, background check and pre-employment drug test
- Will be required to provide some personal hand tools
- Two years experience in trouble-shooting mechanical/electrical controls
- Knowledge of Energy Management
- Experience in other crafts
