Job Summary
Building Manager/Superintendent (live-out) for a 400+ unit luxury rental building in Manhattan. Oversees day-to-day maintenance operations, oversees apartment preparation for a high volume of units, supervises over 20 staff members, trains new hires, maintains resident relations, manages vendor relations, and handles special projects and related duties. Requires five years of recent NYC luxury-building management experience, strong supervisory capability (45+ staff expectation), facilities/operations expertise including building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and basic construction knowledge, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be able to respond to emergencies five days per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and comes with an excellent benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years’ recent experience managing a luxury rental building in NYC (500+ units)
- Strong supervisory skills with ability to manage more than 35 building employees
- Facilities/Operations experience with working knowledge of building systems
- Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and basic construction
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills with residents
- Ability to manage multiple and complex operational matters daily
- Live-out position with ability to respond to emergencies five days a week
