Job Summary
Perform advanced maintenance and repairs in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanics. Conduct regular safety inspections and preventative maintenance while maintaining grounds and assisting with seasonal tasks like snow removal. Oversee and coordinate with external contractors and transport residents to and from appointments. This full-time role includes rotating weekends and on-call duties. Located at Heritage House in Atlantic, Iowa, the position supports our community for active individuals aged 55 and older.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of hands-on experience in construction trades or facility maintenance
- Proven ability to work independently and lead tasks across departments
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for on-call
- Must be able to transport residents to and from appointments
- Must successfully complete a pre-hire health assessment
- Must successfully complete a drug screen
- Must successfully complete a tobacco screen
