Job Summary
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment while troubleshooting Building Automation Systems. Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and snow removal, plus minor building repairs such as carpentry, plumbing, and lighting. Operate machinery like forklifts, tractors, and sweepers safely, and handle supply deliveries by verifying orders and securing loads. Accurately document all work performed, materials used, and labor hours through the work order system. Work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings, with occasional exposure to inclement weather and moving mechanical parts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in commercial or industrial maintenance
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
- Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a 2-year technical degree
- Technical apprenticeship program
- Vocational school program in HVAC/R or plumbing
- Commercial maintenance training program
- Current State of Ohio Stationary Engineer's License
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
- Knowledge of maintenance practices
- Knowledge of plumbing practices
- Knowledge of electrical practices
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to respond to common inquiries and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational abilities
