Building Maintenance Technician - Weekends

Job Summary
Diagnose facility issues and determine the best corrective actions using hand and power tools to fix, replace, or repair equipment. Perform routine maintenance inspections on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, generators, elevators, and security systems to meet health and safety requirements. Maintain facility upkeep including sheetrock finishing, painting, carpentry, flooring, and landscaping while completing accurate documentation for patient records and compliance. Actively communicate with the Director of Physical Plant Operations to advise of maintenance issues and recommend solutions. Rotate on-call schedules every three weeks and assist with equipment transportation between locations. Requires current Arkansas driver's license, valid auto liability insurance, and ability to safely operate a truck. Full-time weekend shifts available Thursday through Monday or Friday through Tuesday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose problems and determine the best way to correct them
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to use common hand and power tools to fix, replace or repair equipment and parts of facilities
- Requires manual dexterity
- A responsible, self-motivating individual able to work well with little or no direct supervision
- Must have time management skills
- Ability to keep written or computer records
- Basic computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have current Arkansas driver's license
- Must have auto liability insurance
- Satisfactory results from motor vehicle records check
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate a truck
- Good hearing, vision and ability to distinguish between colors
- Ability to read and speak English well enough to read road signs, prepare reports and communicate with the public
- Basic knowledge of safety issues, hazards and infection control (OSHA)
- Prefer background in general maintenance and equipment repair with a minimum of 5 years related experience or training
