Job Summary
Building Maintenance Technician to support an inpatient behavioral health hospital. Responsible for general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility and grounds, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and safety compliance. Performs routine and preventative maintenance, assists with fire safety checks, fire drills, and emergency testing, and supports room setups, furniture moves, and exterior grounds upkeep. Emphasizes a safe, clean, and fully operational environment with adherence to infection control standards and hazardous waste procedures. Requires hands-on maintenance experience, reliability, and strong communication in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- General maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or HVAC)
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
