Job Summary
Maintains building, grounds and equipment at Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) focusing on HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical equipment, material handling equipment, and other specialized equipment. Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs electrical controls on HVAC equipment, reads electrical diagrams, operates basic shop equipment, and completes work orders while maintaining maintenance records. Supports building repairs to keep a world-class facility and collaborates with teams to ensure operations run smoothly. Requires 2 years of HVAC/ventilation and related experience, High School Diploma or GED preferred, valid driver’s license, and ability to work nights, weekends, or early mornings as needed; includes lifting requirements and pre-employment screening. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Relevant coursework in heating, air conditioning, ventilation, mechanical repair, or carpentry preferred
- 2 years heating, air conditioning and ventilation; concrete repair, light electrical work and plumbing experience required
- Ability to operate basic shop equipment
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
- Ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department
- Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check
