Job Summary
As a Building Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing facility infrastructure across the grocery distribution center. Essential duties include performing general building maintenance, diagnosing and repairing plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, dock levelers, and conveyor systems. You will utilize basic carpentry skills for repairs, maintain mechanical components, and operate heavy equipment. Candidates should have strong diagnostic skills and experience with various mechanical systems. A high school diploma and 2-3 years of general repair work is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2-3 years of general repair work.
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate motor vehicle record preferred.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the use of hand and power tools such as circular saw, reciprocating saw, drills and impacts, rotary hammer drill, chop saw, table saw, and drill press.
- Knowledge of pneumatic linear actuators, limit switches, photo-eyes, compact pneumatic valving, heating coils, and thermal snap discs.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems such as hydraulic pumps, cylinders, pressure switches, timer relays, cardboard balers, and trash compactors.
- Functional knowledge necessary to weld and fabricate parts, components, and brackets out of steel.
- Mechanical knowledge of repairing various components.
