Job Summary
Maintain, diagnose, and repair facility infrastructure across warehouse, office, and campus areas, including pumps, generators, conveyor systems, plumbing, and electrical fixtures under 480V. Repair dock levelers, wound spring doors, rack systems, and perform carpentry tasks like sheetrock hanging and concrete repairs. Operate heavy equipment such as tuggers and pallet jacks while utilizing work order tracking software to manage requests, charge labor, and close out maintenance tasks. Adhere to strict food safety procedures and industry safety regulations. Requires overnight or day shifts from Sunday to Thursday; offers competitive pay, weekly payroll, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2-3 years of general repair work
- Valid driver's license
- Appropriate motor vehicle record
- Ability to maintain diagnose, and repair various mechanical components: Pumps, gearboxes, and chain drives
- Ability to maintain diagnose, and repair various mechanical components: Generators, welders, foggers, power washer etc
- Ability to maintain diagnose, and repair various mechanical components: Conveyor systems
- Ability to maintain diagnose, and repair various mechanical components: Air compressors
- Ability to maintain, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems such as drains, faucets, valves, and lines
- Ability to maintain and repair single phase electrical fixtures such as ballasts, lights, switches, and outlets under 480V
- Ability to maintain, diagnose and repair various types of wound spring assisted doors including tracks, rollers, guides, latches, lift springs and seals
- Ability to maintain diagnose and repair dock levelers and their components such as pneumatic lift bags, HVLP air blowers, tension adjusters and latch bar assemblies
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems such as hydraulic pumps, cylinders, pressure switches, timer relays, cardboard balers, and trash compactors
- Understanding of facility fire system and its layout, controls, and alarm system
- Ability to read and understand equipment schematics to repair all of its components and systems
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tuggers, pallet jacks, and any other motorized equipment within the facility
- Functional knowledge and proper use of the work order tracking software
- Ability to accept work requests
- Ability to create work requests and work orders
- Ability to charge parts and labor (signing on/off) to work orders
- Ability to complete and close out work orders in a timely manner
- Ability to complete and close out PM work orders
- Ability to understand and follow facility specific as well as industry standard safety regulations
- Ability to understand and follow food safety procedures established by the site
- Ability to assess the system based on information displayed on fire panels
- Ability to multitask through various projects and work orders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the use of hand and power tools such as circular saw, reciprocating saw, drills and impacts, rotary hammer drill, chop saw, table saw, and drill press
- Knowledge of pneumatic linear actuators, limit switches, photo-eyes, compact pneumatic valving, heating coils, and thermal snap discs etc
- Functional knowledge necessary to weld and fabricate parts, components, and brackets out of steel
- Working knowledge of both wet and dry pre-action systems and their components including but not limited to: Pressurized pneumatic supervisory system, Deluge, wall indicator, and post indictor valves, Electric and diesel fire pump
- Valid driver's license and appropriate motor vehicle record preferred
