Job Summary
On-site Building Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) responsible for keeping critical building systems running smoothly through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and system optimization. Maintain hands-on work with HVAC, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, and building automation controls; diagnose issues, prevent equipment failures, and ensure operational continuity. Respond to maintenance requests, conduct routine inspections, coordinate with external contractors, and maintain detailed records using CMMS. Target a safe, compliant environment by following safety protocols and building codes; participate in after-hours emergency response and on-call rotation. Location is St. Louis, MO with on-site duties. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in facilities maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and a HS diploma; technical certifications and CMMS experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or related technical field
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated capacity to diagnose complex system issues
- Valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, climb ladders, work in confined spaces and various weather conditions, and participate in after-hours emergency response and on-call rotation schedule as required
- Preferred: Technical school certification in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related field
- Preferred: EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling or HVAC technician certification
- Experience with CMMS (MAXIMO, Tririga, Corrigo or similar)
- Knowledge of fire safety systems, security systems, and emergency generators
- Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 3:00PM-11:30PM
