Job Summary
Building Maintenance Tech I performs a wide range of preventive and reactive maintenance tasks across the property, including safety-compliant equipment operation, painting, housekeeping of guest areas, and responding to maintenance emergencies. The role requires use of hand tools, collaboration with team members to meet guest needs, attention to detail, strong time management, and adherence to safety and security guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- general knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures
- ability to work well with others in a guest and team-focused environment
- strong time management capabilities and ability to accomplish quality, detailed work within established parameters
- customer service skills and ability to anticipate guest needs, greet and acknowledge guests, and respond to guest requests to ensure guest satisfaction
- action orientation and ability to deliver the desired outcome
- physical ability to perform duties (standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, squatting) for extended periods
- ability to respond in a timely manner to maintenance emergencies
- experience painting walls, ceilings, doors, and window trim as needed
- experience ensuring guest laundry washers, dryers, vending machines, and common areas are cleaned twice daily
- travel: little to no travel outside the property and surrounding area
