Job Summary

Assist the Supervisor, Facilities with operations and maintenance of air conditioning, heating equipment, water heaters, boilers, electrical switchgear, refrigeration systems, and digital automatic temperature control systems. Supervise vendor operations for fire/smoke detection and suppression systems while performing preventative maintenance and maintaining inspection records. Support minor plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and carpentry work, including paint touchups, floor/tile repair, and furniture reconfiguration. Formulate and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery meets rated life standards. Perform assigned work orders, provide technical troubleshooting solutions, and oversee subcontractor work to ensure equipment is fully functional. Respond quickly to emergency situations and arrange for additional assistance as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent or technical school
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience and/or training
  • Certification in one or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair
  • Equivalent military training or experience (substitute for certification)
  • Familiarity with maintenance or facility operations to include vendor management, safety, maintenance, and organizing maintenance schedules
  • Ability to handle pressure, stressful conditions, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to work day, evening and/or weekend hours as needed
  • Ability to travel by any form of transportation
  • Ability to lift, push, pull 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch and bend over for work at office premises and office events
  • Regular attendance in the office
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Fluency in English and languages relevant to the working market (where applicable)
