Job Summary
Deliver building maintenance service courses to students and manage the classroom; develop and deliver a dynamic, hands-on curriculum that prepares adult learners for careers in building maintenance; coordinate curriculum development and maintain a program manual with lesson plans, quizzes, and tests; differentiate instruction for multi-level learners; ensure eligible students take the occupational credential exam; teach using varied methods (lectures, role-play, group projects, individual assignments, games, field trips); maintain OSHA knowledge, professional boundaries, and effective communication; ensure alignment with CET’s mission and TAC recommendations; strong MS Office skills and ability to manage time and supervise activities; physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and long periods at a computer; role is located at CET in NE Washington, DC and designated Safety Sensitive with drug and alcohol testing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 yrs. Experience in Building Maintenance in a residential/apartment setting
- Certification in Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, or Plumbing
