Job Summary
Building Maintenance Mechanic performs repairs and maintenance on warehouse equipment and building systems, including outside sprinkler systems, electrical, plumbing, walls, carpentry, floor repairs, light welding, and preventive maintenance (PMs) on condensers, evaporators, and related components. Responsibilities include reviewing equipment reports from warehouse staff, maintaining PM logs per policy, ensuring safety compliance (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, safe work environment), securing battery charging areas, managing tools and equipment inventory, and, as authorized, purchasing tools/equipment from vendors. Requires ability to read/write, follow orders, basic math, and ability to work with limited supervision. HVAC preventative maintenance experience and/or 608 refrigerant certification are preferred. The role is based in Spokane, WA, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and an hourly base rate around $35.83 with overtime as applicable. Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent preferred
- additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred
- six months previous mechanic experience preferred
- 608 refrigerant certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
