Building Maintenance Mechanic II - Facilities Management

Job Summary
Maintain various building and mechanical systems including refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas, and fire protection systems. Perform skilled repairs on boilers, chillers, pumps, and air handling equipment while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Review daily work orders to complete repairs by priority and log equipment performance readings as assigned. Lead or participate in structural maintenance for ceilings, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, elevators, and stairways. Manage inventory of repair supplies and ensure personnel are trained for safe operations. Respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols under limited supervision. Work weekends and different shifts as required, making initial repair determinations and referring extensive repairs to specialized technicians. Maintain positive social skills with co-workers, vendors, and patients while staying abreast of industry advancements through professional publications and organizations.
Required Qualifications
- 6 years of experience maintaining commercial/industrial building systems
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid SC driver's license
- High School/Ged
