Job Summary
Skilled maintenance work for buildings and grounds, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, plus routine maintenance and repairs. Inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs heating/cooling/plumbing/electrical systems and records maintenance. Constructs and repairs building structures, walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets, and furniture. Performs brazing and soldering, minor plumbing, and installs electrical equipment. Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, and motors; performs minor HVAC repairs; maintains tools and machinery. Requires two years of technical coursework in construction/HVAC/plumbing/electronics and three years of maintenance/repair experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. License and Certification: None.
Required Qualifications
- Two years course work from a technical or vocational school in construction, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning as well as pluming and electronics
- three years experience performing maintenance and repair work for commercial building and grounds
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
