Building Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Oversee and optimize the hotel's building maintenance program, including preventative maintenance for guest rooms, kitchen, public spaces, grounds, and building envelope. Lead Engineering staff, coordinate with all departments to identify maintenance needs, manage a proactive maintenance schedule, and ensure operations stay within budget while delivering on-brand guest experiences. Maintain knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen furnishings, networking) and leverage technology to improve safety and efficiency. Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to support hotel operations and partner with Accounting on department budgets; ensure compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Vocational schooling, military training, certification, and/or experience in building-related trades in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry
- 3+ years of hands-on experience at a comparable location; prior hotel experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage and lead Engineering staff; budgetary oversight; strong communication and organizational skills
