Job Summary
North Scott Community Schools is hiring a Building Maintenance Assistant to assist maintenance personnel with general upkeep, remodeling and building renovations, and to perform preventative maintenance on district equipment including rooftop HVAC units. The role includes in-building repairs of plumbing fixtures and electrical components, changing air filters and servicing HVAC systems, maintaining professionalism with the public and district personnel, and regularly communicating problems and progress. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Term is twelve months with salary established by the School Board.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma and job-related experience and/or HVAC advanced education
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing repair
- Able to read and understand construction prints and electrical schematics
- Ability to learn new skills and procedures with minimum instruction
