Job Summary
Conduct scheduled inspections of buildings, systems, and grounds for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and health code adherence. Monitor facilities to verify project completion and ensure readiness for students, while performing follow-up inspections to correct deficiencies. Coordinate with maintenance personnel and administrators to complete work orders, notify the supervisor of discovered problems, and oversee custodial staff training. Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns and prepare documentation for written support. Research work-related topics to ensure professional, cost-effective maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
- Able to work at heights of up to 60 feet using extension ladder, hydraulic lift or scaffolding
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Written and oral communication
- Ability to plan
- Ability to coordinate and direct
- Knowledge of housekeeping standards
- Knowledge of material safety data sheets
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals used in facilities
- Basic computer skills
