Job Summary
Administrative Coordinator for Building Inspections responsible for coordinating and performing a wide range of confidential and administrative tasks to support the Chief Building Official, Permit Manager, and inspectors. Handles department records, reports, budgeting assistance, permits data entry, scheduling inspections, responding to public inquiries, processing receipts, and maintaining filing systems. Requires strong communication with homeowners, contractors, developers, and the public; proficiency with permitting software and Microsoft Office; ability to prepare and format letters, memos, contracts, bids, requisitions, and reports; and dependable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Five years of administrative and customer service experience, preferably in construction, building, engineering, permitting, or related fields
- Education supplements with vocational, technical, or college-level coursework in business administration, public administration, construction, or related field
