Job Summary
Develop and maintain Building Information Models throughout commercial project design and construction, coordinating architectural, structural, civil, and MEP systems to resolve design conflicts before field installation. Create construction phasing plans, logistics simulations, and visual project sequencing while utilizing laser scanning and drone data to validate existing conditions and monitor progress. Support preconstruction efforts through model-based estimating, quantity takeoffs, and constructability analysis, producing high-quality visualizations and renderings for project teams. Establish BIM execution plans, project standards, and workflows, then provide training and technical support to project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors regarding BIM platforms and VDC best practices. Evaluate emerging technologies to recommend process improvements that enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- 3+ years of BIM, VDC, design coordination, or construction technology experience
- Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Experience coordinating commercial construction projects using model based workflows
- Working knowledge of construction means and methods, building systems, and project delivery approaches
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
