Job Summary
Building Healthy Communities Internship supports outreach, recruitment, education, resource development, and research to advance the Building Healthy Communities program. Responsibilities include developing educational materials and presentations, recruiting and onboarding community leaders, creating marketing strategies to expand reach, conducting research and resource development, launching student initiatives, and coordinating outreach to graduate and medical schools. The role emphasizes remote work with a structured schedule (15–20 hours/week, Sep 2026 start) and offers course-credit assistance. The internship is unpaid and located in Washington, D.C. area for possible in-person activities, with remote work allowed from multiple U.S. jurisdictions. Applicants must be enrolled in graduate- or undergraduate-level studies in relevant fields and possess strong written and verbal communication, research, and organizational skills; prior remote work experience is a plus. The organization is PCRM, a nonprofit focused on plant-based nutrition and public health advocacy, based in Washington, DC.
