Job Summary
Manage day-to-day construction operations for the bus terminal project, coordinating subcontractors, trades, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow. Develop and maintain construction schedules while enforcing safety policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring all work meets project specifications and codes. Oversee site logistics, including access roads, traffic control, and environmental controls, while serving as the primary on-site contact for owners, consultants, and local agencies. Requires 15+ years of civil construction experience, OSHA 30-hour certification, and proficiency in scheduling software. Based in Midtown Manhattan, NY, with a salary range of $300,000 - $350,000.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 15+ years of experience in civil or commercial construction
- At least 5 years in a superintendent role
- Experience managing construction projects valued over 250 million
- Proficient in construction management software and scheduling tools
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Experience with transportation infrastructure projects (bus terminals, transit centers, or similar)
- Additional certifications (e.g., NCCER, LEED)
