Job Summary
Building Facilities Manager responsible for maintaining the school facilities and grounds to support optimal educational functions. Lead, supervise, direct, and evaluate custodial and maintenance staff; oversee planning and budgeting; ensure building systems operate efficiently; respond to emergencies 24/7; interpret blueprints and schematics; maintain logs and reports; manage work orders and staff schedules; ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards; coordinate with Operations Director and building principal.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five years’ experience as a school building manager, lead custodian, maintenance technician, and/or custodial shift supervisor
- Demonstrable knowledge of building automation systems and core building systems (repair/maintenance/troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security & fire, grounds)
- Demonstrable leadership, technical, and communication skills
