Job Summary
The Building Envelope Field Estimator evaluates existing building envelope conditions to develop scopes of work for repairs, prepares estimates, and converts bid documents to construction documents. Responsibilities include investigating building envelope failures, conducting condition assessments, technical expertise in roofing and waterproofing, on-site coordination, executing take-offs, and preparing detailed cost estimates. Qualifications include four years of industry experience, construction estimation experience, proficiency in reading blueprints, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with relevant software and a commitment to safety and professional development are also essential.
Required Qualifications
- Four plus years of experience in the building envelope industry
- 1-3 years of construction estimation experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or CAD drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and perform under deadlines with frequent interruptions
- Personal commitment to safety, integrity, and continual professional development
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams
- Familiarity with Project Management Software
- Ability to use estimating software and advanced take-off tools
