Job Summary
Complete assigned work orders for general repair within assigned time frames to maintain operational efficiency. Perform routine maintenance including painting, carpet and floor cleaning, and minor HVAC adjustments such as air conditioning unit repair or replacement. Execute minor repairs and replacements for room furniture, fixtures, and equipment like television sets and light fixtures. This role requires basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, along with strong organization and time management skills. Candidates must work independently with little supervision, analyze data, and demonstrate excellent communication abilities. The position involves weekends and holidays and requires a valid Michigan driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills
- Very good organization and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
- Sound judgment and discretional skills and work with little or no supervision
- Ability to consistently work under pressure and simultaneously prioritize multiple projects
- Clear and concise verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to maximize use of time, resources and technology
- Ability to analyze, interpret and present data in various formats
- Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values
- At least two (2) years of related general repair experience
- Ability to regularly stand; walk and talk or hear
- Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to occasionally sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and climb or balance
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule
- Excellent attendance and conduct record
- Unrestricted and insurable Michigan driving record
