Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs across multiple building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, generators, fire alarms, and life safety systems. Troubleshoot issues independently while responding quickly to maintenance requests with outstanding customer service. Monitor equipment for peak performance, coordinate outside contractors, complete work orders, and keep mechanical spaces clean and organized. Maintain doors, fixtures, and general building components to ensure a safe, comfortable experience for guests, visitors, and staff in a luxury hospitality environment. Adapt quickly to changing occupancy levels and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of commercial building maintenance or operating engineer experience
- Well-rounded knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, lighting, fire alarms, generators, and general building maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on commercial facilities
- Professional appearance with a customer-first attitude
- Takes pride in clean, high-quality workmanship and always cleans up after every job
- Comfortable working in an environment where priorities can change throughout the day
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification is a plus, but not required
- Trade school or technical training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems is a plus
