Job Summary

Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Address service requests such as hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs while troubleshooting minor equipment malfunctions. Replace components like light fixtures and filters, and maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance. Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies, assist with preventive maintenance, and oversee contractors. Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and report hazards immediately. Participate in on-call rotations to respond to emergencies and severe weather outages. Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers while developing technical skills under senior engineer guidance. This role is on-site at portfolio properties and requires physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience
  • Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as stooping, crouching, and kneeling
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies
  • Must be able to handle urgent tenant service requests
  • Must be able to support recovery efforts during severe weather and system outages
  • Must be able to interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers
  • Must be able to work closely with senior engineers and technicians
  • Must be able to follow company safety protocols and use PPE for all tasks
  • Must be able to ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations
  • Must be able to report hazards immediately
  • Must be able to participate in safety audits
  • Must be able to participate in on-call rotations

Desired Qualifications

  • CFC Certification preferred
  • Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting
