Building Engineer

Job Summary
Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Address tenant service requests for hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs while replacing components like filters and light fixtures. Troubleshoot minor malfunctions, conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies, and assist with contractor oversight. Follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations, participate in on-call rotations for emergency responses, and interact with tenants and senior engineers. Perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work in-office during standard business hours.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience
- Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements
- Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as stooping, crouching, and kneeling
- 100% in-office availability
- Standard business hours availability
Desired Qualifications
- CFC Certification preferred
- Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop/phone applications for work order systems, email, and training platforms
