Job Summary
Monitor, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure to ensure 100% uptime. Manage fire/life safety, HVAC, generators, and cooling systems while analyzing operations to diagnose malfunctions and execute corrective actions. Record readings, adjust equipment settings, and handle work orders via CMMS and vendor management. Navigate campus settings, climb ladders, and respond to site emergencies, complying with hazardous material policies and emergency escalation procedures. Work nights (2100-0700) Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat, including holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience working in a data center/critical facility
- Experience with building systems, including: UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgears
- Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite and CMMS
- Must be able to work different schedules
- Must be able to work Holidays
- Must be able to respond to site emergencies
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs
- Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment
- Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights
- Ability to Climb a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit
