Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance, visually inspect tools and equipment, and operate utility shut-offs. Safely perform complex repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including diagnosing boilers and pumps, while adhering to lockout/tagout protocols and local codes. Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety hazards and take immediate corrective action. Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and perform advanced troubleshooting of MEP systems using engineering computer programs. Train and mentor junior engineers, supervise work in progress, and fulfill Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds. Ensure all activities comply with company safety policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- License or certification in refrigeration or electrical (earned, or currently working towards receiving)
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
- Meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Certificate in two-year technical diploma program for HVAC/refrigeration
- Extensive experience and training in general maintenance (advanced repairs), electrical or refrigeration
- Exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- No supervisory experience
