Job Summary
Building Electrification Specialist needed to develop and lead strategies for electrification across residential, commercial, and municipal properties in Englewood and Sheridan. The role involves outreach and stakeholder engagement, coordinating programs such as incentives and retrofit opportunities, organizing learning sessions for property owners, and collaborating with affordable housing providers. Responsibilities include managing vendor/consultant contracts, evaluating program effectiveness, identifying grant opportunities, and supporting implementation of the Beneficial Electrification Plan and related outreach strategies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately three years of professional or technical experience in energy, sustainability, or building decarbonization; ability to travel to events across Englewood and Sheridan and work after hours as needed; strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills. The position is funded for four years via a DRCOG subaward grant and may not continue beyond the four-year term.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Engineering, Urban Planning, Sustainability, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Three (3) years of professional or technical level experience in energy, sustainability, building decarbonization, or related field
- One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education
- Certifications and/or Licensures: None
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and a good driving record
- Equivalent combination of education, training and relevant job experience may be substituted
- Ability to travel to events throughout Englewood and Sheridan and work after business hours, as needed
