Job Summary
The Technician I Facilities role supports building maintenance across company locations, overseeing vendors and service providers, transporting materials between sites, and handling renovations, office furniture repairs/replacements, and other ad hoc maintenance tasks. The incumbent is a mechanically inclined, hands-on doer and an effective communicator who collaborates with facilities management, HR, Safety and Security, and other teams to deliver facilities solutions and value. Requires hands-on mechanical/technical work, knowledge of HVAC/plumbing/painting/drywall/general repairs, proficiency with hand and electrical tools, ability to lift 50 pounds, a valid driver’s license, and strong written and verbal communication for proposals and decisions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience with hands-on mechanical, construction, or technical work in a building maintenance setting
- At least 1 year of experience and a sound knowledge of building skills, including HVAC, plumbing, painting, drywall, and general building repair
- Will need to be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools
- High School Diploma
- Safe driving record in order to maintain the ability to be insured by the Company’s insurance
- Ability and desire to perform maintenance work
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on an irregular basis
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong customer relationships and effectively communicate
- Excellent communication skills to submit ideas, proposals, and decisions (in writing and orally) in a professional and pleasant manner
