Job Summary
Coordinate network start-ups, commission field controllers, and validate BAS configurations across client sites in the GTA. Troubleshoot network issues using BACnet Discovery Tool and Wireshark, while calibrating transmitters and testing actuators to ensure safety interlocks and mechanical equipment operate correctly. Verify controller software, integrate third-party devices, and maintain accurate documentation including daily Safety Plans of the Day. Safely lift up to 50lbs and work on ladders as required to support ongoing team development and project compliance.
Required Qualifications
- College Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC control systems and building automation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable interfacing with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Ability to multi-task between fieldwork and other responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft software including Excel, Outlook, and Visio
- Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Must be able to work on ladders as required
- Must be available for on-site work across client sites in the GTA
- Must be able to complete daily Safety Plan of the Day
- Must be able to maintain project documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Distech Controls software tools
- Previous experience in BAS commissioning or mechanical/electrical contracting
- Experience troubleshooting BACnet, Modbus, or Lonworks networks
- Exposure to technical documentation systems or process improvement initiatives
