Job Summary
Experienced Building Controls Estimator needed to support bid and preconstruction efforts for HVAC controls in design-build and plan/spec projects. Responsibilities include preparing accurate HVAC controls estimates, reviewing RFPs/drawings/specs to determine scope and deliverables, leading bid efforts as Bid Captain, applying trade means and methods to reflect realistic execution, collaborating with sales/operations/engineering to align scope and pricing, supporting sales as a technical and pricing resource, and maintaining consistency with estimating tools and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of commercial estimating or preconstruction experience
- Experience with building controls, mechanical, or electrical estimating preferred
- Strong knowledge of design-build and plan/spec delivery methods
- Advanced estimating skills and techniques
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
