Job Summary
Building Condition Assessor II applies building condition assessment processes and technical standards to conduct asset assessments, identify deficiencies, and generate condition reports. The role involves working with RealSuite tools (RealAsset, BCA Mobile, Astea for site scheduling and progress tracking) and potentially client Asset Management Information Systems; it requires leading site activities, providing cost estimates for repairs/replacements for capital budgeting, and collaborating with Facility and Project Management to capture building nuances. The position supports growth into technical roles within Professional Services, including team leadership and project-management opportunities. Proficiency in MS Excel, strong written communication, ability to work independently, travel 50-70%, and possession of a valid driver’s license are expected; LEED certification is an asset. This is a contract, full-time role based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, with salary range $54,185 to $67,732 per annum.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in relevant field such as architectural, civil, mechanical electrical engineering, building science or building engineering
- 3-5 Years of relevant work experience
- Enrolled in EIT or P.Eng an asset
- Valid drivers’ license
- LEED Certification from Canada Green Building Council, an asset
