Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and overall presentation of assigned residential properties by cleaning common areas, emptying waste receptacles, vacuuming carpets, and sanitizing restrooms and fitness equipment. Wash walls, doors, and hard surface flooring while polishing glass surfaces and elevator interiors. Remove litter and debris from exterior entrances, sidewalks, and parking areas. Assist with apartment preparation for resident move-ins and move-outs as required. Monitor building cleanliness and identify maintenance or safety concerns, reporting issues promptly to the Supervisor, Resident Manager, or Caretaker. Operate cleaning equipment and safely handle cleaning products in accordance with company procedures. Represent the company professionally while interacting with residents, contractors, and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, climbing stairs, and working for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused attitude
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial, residential, or janitorial cleaning is considered an asset
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices, cleaning equipment, and chemical handling procedures
- WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain certification is considered an asset
