Job Summary
Perform service, maintenance, and repair on building automation and temperature control systems, troubleshooting controllers, sensors, actuators, and VFDs. Analyze system operation, review alarms and historical data to diagnose issues, and verify HVAC equipment through functional testing. Support system upgrades, startup, and commissioning while maintaining accurate service documentation and coordinating with facility staff and subcontractors. Configure trends, schedules, and operator interfaces using remote connectivity tools to monitor and optimize building performance. Serve as a technical resource for customers, communicating findings and corrective actions clearly while adhering to safety requirements and site procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with building automation systems, HVAC controls, or DDC systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC control systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with one or more of the following BAS platforms: Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, Distech Controls, Delta Controls, Siemens Desigo, Honeywell WEBs, Alerton, Reliable Controls, KMC Controls, Carrier i-Vu, ABB, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure
- Niagara N4 certification or equivalent BAS training
- Factory-certified training from a BAS manufacturer
- HVAC service experience or technical certifications
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Technical degree, trade school training, or related industry education
