Job Summary
Perform service, maintenance, and repair on building automation and temperature control systems, troubleshooting controllers, sensors, actuators, and VFDs. Analyze system operation to identify performance improvements, review alarms and trends for diagnostics, and verify HVAC equipment through functional testing. Support system upgrades, replacements, and expansion projects while assisting with startup, commissioning, and turnover activities. Maintain accurate documentation, coordinate with facility staff and subcontractors, and follow safety requirements at all times. Serve as a technical resource for customers, communicating findings and corrective actions clearly.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with building automation systems, HVAC controls, or DDC systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC control systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Niagara N4 certification or equivalent BAS training
- Factory-certified training from a BAS manufacturer
- HVAC service experience or technical certifications
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Technical degree, trade school training, or related industry education
