Building Automation Specialist

Job Summary
Building Automation Specialist responsible for operating and monitoring Sharp’s Building Automation System (BAS) across a cGMP pharmaceutical environment. Manages BAS alarms, conducts trending and reporting of temperature, humidity, and differential pressure data, supports audits, upgrades, and SOP revisions, and collaborates with Facilities Mechanics and vendor partners to troubleshoot energy, air quality, safety, and scheduling issues. Requires strong technical skills in BAS hardware/software (Siemens Desigo/Insight/InfoCenter), HVAC control strategies, and documentation practices; must train technicians, maintain system reliability, and identify opportunities for optimization and energy savings.
Required Qualifications
- A thorough understanding of BAS equipment and controls, including design, installation, compatibility, connectivity, operation and preventive/corrective maintenance
- Well-versed in industrial and commercial HVAC control strategies and tactics, equipment and techniques
- Biopharma experience in a cGMP or related regulatory environment is strongly preferred
- Experience using Siemens Desigo, Insight and InfoCenter is preferred
- MS Office Suite proficiency
- QMS, CMMS and AutoCAD experience is preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to a broad audience
- Robust time management and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial building automation experience, including relevant certification(s) and documented, specialized training
- Associate’s degree in electronics, automation, engineering or related technical field is preferred
