Job Summary
Lead the Building Automation Project Sales team for a fast-growing commercial HVAC/building automation company. Responsible for managing all phases of BAS Project Sales to maximize sales and profitability while delivering best-in-class service to customers. Key duties include recruiting, hiring, and onboarding BAS Project Sales Reps; co-authoring Associate Development Plans with direct reports to foster continuous improvement; conducting annual performance evaluations; collaborating with HR on personnel actions; utilizing sales tools (CRM, SharePoint, proposal templates, estimate workbooks) for pipeline management, workflows, and pricing; overseeing BAS Estimator(s) and ensuring accurate budgeting and proposal generation; training team members on sales tools and maintaining adoption; coordinating annual BAS project sales plans; coaching PSRs to become fully qualified in budgeting, technical assessments, qualifying questions, and gap analysis; applying Challenger selling and Gap Selling concepts, financing, and bundled solutions; building long-term client relationships and informing upper management of financial and business implications; ensuring a smooth handoff from sales to operations and maintaining market knowledge across geographic areas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, recommended
- 10+ years of Commercial BAS experience with proven success
- Strong financial acumen
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and currently maintain a safe driving record as required by the company’s insurance provider
