Building Automation Project Engineer

Job Summary
Support the replacement of legacy Building Management Systems (BMS) across manufacturing facilities by assisting throughout the full project lifecycle, including planning, vendor procurement, engineering review, field execution, and final commissioning. Prepare and manage BMS Replacement Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to support vendor selection, develop execution plans, and conduct in-field audits to evaluate infrastructure readiness. Review integrator technical submittals for compliance with Functional Specifications and I/O lists, then support hardware cutover activities, witness Factory and Site Acceptance Tests, and troubleshoot Ignition SCADA and PLC systems. Manage SAT punch lists through resolution and project closeout.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) in pharma manufacturing or industrial environments
- Knowledge of BMS replacement projects, commissioning, and system integration
- Experience preparing or supporting RFP/RFQ documentation and vendor coordination
- Familiarity with Functional Specifications (FS), Instrumentation & Control (I&C) documentation, and I/O lists
- Working knowledge of Ignition SCADA and PLC troubleshooting
- Experience supporting FAT/SAT activities and hardware cutovers
- Strong project coordination and technical review skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams, vendors, and field personnel
